Join us for a week long day camp (9am-3pm) diving into the joy of string playing at my private studio in a gorgeous sylvan setting. Led by me, director of OES Advanced String Ensemble and MYS Hillsboro Interlude Strings, and others TBA. A typical day would include:

• large ensemble with repertoire chosen and custom arranged to fit the group
• small ensembles (duets, trios, quartets) grouped on skill level
• music theory
• rhythm training
• mindfulness meditations in Tryon Creek State Park (right across the street)
• improvisation
• composition
• sessions to address performance anxiety and how to access joy in performance
• master class solo performances

Final performance on Friday afternoon would include chamber groups and full ensemble.

Limited to 16 students with at least 2 years playing experience.

Before and after care available. Snacks and drinks provided, please bring a lunch and music stand.
