Hey friends,
It’s been a while since I’ve shared, but I’m still here.
I’ll be honest: on a daily basis I’m disheartened by news of ICE raids taking members of good families I know. I worry about the erosion of free speech, and I see greed and divisive hate pushing our country down a dark road.
And yet, I hold on to hope.
Over the past few years I’ve been on a deep journey, coming home to myself. I’m transforming the doormat of who I used to be and shaking out the dust of acquiescence. I’m clarifying what I will and won’t accept in my life. I’ve been quiet publicly while new insights and beliefs settled in alongside the pain, grief, and disillusionment I’ve felt.
What keeps calling me back is the desire to share the grace of my inner experiences through sound and music — to transmit, through vibration, the presence of what some call the Divine, God, grace, or our deeper selves.
Sound as Sanctuary marks my return to public presentations. Along with my cello and harmonium, I’ll be bringing a magnificently tuned set of ground quartz singing bowls whose resonance creates a peace I’ve never experienced before. The afternoon will include cello music to hold space for your heart to release and be heard, and a singing-bowl sound bath to soothe and cleanse.
I would be honored if you joined me.
